Wake Up call

Well, this past weekend I really had a wake-up call. Our girls had family fun night at school so we went to have fun playing Spongee polo. It was a ton of fun, but it really showed me how out of shape I am. I am not talking about the extra weight, but my lack of stamina. I was almost in tears when I got up Saturday morning because my knees hurt, my lower back was a little sore from bending over. I am not that old to feel like I cannot walk around normally all weekend because my knees were sore. I am determined, not just to lose weight, but my focus is getting into shape so I do not feel decades older than I am. I thought I had been doing well with aerobics once a week and then getting on my exercise bike a couple of times a week, but obviously that it not the solution. I am back to the drawing board........

Have you considered a running program? I have to tell you that my stamina has increased by leaps and bounds. It is a full body workout and works muscles that you least expect. I have so much more energy from running. Just a thought...

If you want info on the running program I did, let me know. You start out really slow. If you start the program and it's not for you, you can always try something else.
